Thai Glico was established in 1970 as the first step for Glico's endeavor to promote its corporate philosophy "Wholesome Life in the Best of Taste" throughout the world. Having started from the production of Pocky and Pretz, Thai Glico has now become one of the leading confectionery manufacturers in Thailand. In addition to sales in the domestic market, the company also exports its products to Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other markets in the region. To promote Glico Pocky to European consumers, Generale Biscuit Glico France was established in 1982 as a joint venture. We decided to rename the product "MIKADO," which is the name of a game played using thin bamboo sticks like Pockys. The Cestas Plant was built near Bordeaux to start production of MIKADO, which is now marketed in many European countries such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland, and enjoyed by many consumers throughout the region.
With its tremendous potential for economic growth, China continues to attract business attention as a promising market. Based in Shanghai, Glico commenced its business operations in the Chinese confectionery market in 1995. Its local subsidiary, Shanghai Ezaki Glico Foods, has manufactured Pocky, Pretz and other confectionery items designed for the Chinese market, and all have gained significant popularity among Chinese consumers. We will make continued efforts to further expand Glico's business in China.

Many Glico products including Pocky and Pretz are exported to North American markets from Japan. Ezaki Glico USA and Glico Canada have successfully marketed Glico products, providing these products to supermarkets operated by Japanese and Asian companies, in addition to national franchise supermarkets in North America that have started selling Glico products in recent years.
Pocky's superb taste and unique, handy features are also highly recognized in the North American markets.
